Accountant – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a global leading multisector company based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, who are looking for an Accountant to join their growing team. The successful Accountant will have experience of managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements and processing all bank account transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all accounting transactions recording, day to day financial transactions, handle and complete all the posting processes in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process all bank account transactions.
  • Ensure timely payments.
  • Manage Service Contracts and renewals of MSA’s.
  • Process all service invoices, weekly.
  • Manage Balance Sheets and Profit/Loss Statements
  • Comply with accounting regulations and procedures including Local GAAP
  • Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and Financial Statements
  • Allocate engineering/production hours to projects and cost centres.
  • Support month end and year end close process.
  • Assist with annual audits.

About You:

  • The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills to make accurate calculations and estimate.
  • Minimum AAT Level 2 Certificate with ten years work experience.

Physical Requirements, Travel & Special Circumstances:

  • International travel may be required.
