We’re supporting our client, a leading global Plastic Product manufacturer based in Scarborough, who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team. The successful Business Development Manager will have experience of attending trade shows, upselling manufacturing and ideally knowledge within Engineering/Polymers
Responsibilities for Business Development Manager:
- Upselling 3-4 Product areas
- Improving company position
- Overseas sales and marketing
- Attending trade shows
- National & international travelling
- Promoting manufacturing aspects of business
- Coordinating sales operations and implementing sales techniques that allow the business to meet and surpass its sales targets consistently.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans that expand a company’s customer base and solidify its presence
- Building and promoting healthy, long-lasting customer relations by partnering with them
- Providing reports of field sales success and communicating the Voice of the Customer (VOC).
- Set goals, identify priorities and eliminate redundant activities to increase sales.
- Build sales plans and ensure sales forecast and reporting.
About You:
- Three to five years’ experience working in the sales field, preferably in the engineering, plastics or polymer background
- Ability to communicate, inspire and motivate
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Excellent time management skills to maximize ability to reach goals
- Ability to travel and meet customers nationally & internationally
- Driving license.
