Shift Pattern: 9pm – 7am, Monday to Thursday
We’re supporting our client, a leading Injection Moulding manufacturer based in Sutton Coldfield, who are looking for a CNC Miller to join their growing team. The successful CNC Miller will have experience of one off’s, CNC Milling and Programming.
Position Overview: As a CNC Miller, you’ll be a vital part of the toolroom, ensuring the seamless functioning of our equipment and facilities. Your primary focus will be on CNC Milling and programming.
Responsibilities for CNC Miller:
- Maintain standards of Housekeeping and Health & Safety
- Manufacture of new tooling to engineering drawings in line with timing plans.
- Carrying out proactive maintenance and up keep on milling machines.
- Liaise with toolmakers, Cad/ Cam programmers and Designers.
- Investigate issues to find root causes passing information back to the design department and management so issues can be avoided in future.
- Maintain tooling to the correct standards and keep stock of all tools and holders.
- Reporting of any concerns, issues and repairs.
- Working in a systematic fashion following any instructions available,
- All work checked before taking off.
- Maintain cutters and equipment.
- Maintain working area to a high standard. Working to 5S’s
- Good verbal communication skills
- Work to the high tolerances
- Adhere to company quality awareness.
- Meeting Health and Safety standards supporting others to do the same
- Assist other areas of the business when required to carry out the same or similar tasks
- Any other reasonable Engineering duties required
About You:
Essential:
- Time severed toolmaking apprenticeship
- Time served CNC Miller Setter, Operator Programmer.
- Understanding technical drawings
- Work to tight tolerances
- Must be able check own work
- 5 years CNC Milling setting, Operator Programmer
- Toolroom based CNC Miller
Desirable:
- Manual milling
- EDM experience
- Wire experience
- Bench experience
- IOSH training
- Six sigma training
- 5S training
- Proficient with Hurco
- Plastic injection mould tool experience
