Responsibilities for the CNC Service Engineer:

  • On-site expertise: travel across the UK, Northern Ireland, and occasionally Europe to service and repair cutting-edge CNC machinery, including those with Fanuc controls.
  • Precision work: become familiar with intricacies of CNC machine tools, specialising in lathes and machining centres.
  • Technical mastery: conduct component testing, ballscrew/linear guide replacement, spindle exchange, gib adjustment/scraping, geometric installation, fault finding, and diagnostics.
  • Collaboration: work closely with production teams/key customers to address and resolve machine issues, ensuring optimal performance.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Technical qualifications: maintenance with hands-on experience in CNC machine tools (lathes and machining centers).
  • Problem-solving Skills: proficiency in fault-finding, diagnostics, and the use of test equipment.
  • Bonus points: experience with Fanuc and Okuma controls is advantageous but not essential.
