Electrical Control Panel Technician – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading design and assembly of filling and packaging lines for aerosols with a high proportion for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries based in Laindon, Essex. The client is looking for an Electrical Control Panel Technician to work alongside the Automation Technicians to produce the electrical wiring diagrams for their electrical control systems.
Salary: £Competitive
Hours: Flexi-time system in operation, Core time 09:00-12:30 and 14:00-16:00

Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Formal Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g. apprenticeship/17th/18th edition)
Desirable
- Familiarity with Automated production machinery or other similar capital equipment
- Worked in a project environment in cross-functional project teams
Responsibilities for the Electrical Control Panel Technician:
- Work as part of the Automation department in building, wiring and installing control panels
- Check required panel components against issued wiring diagram and control panel layouts
- Assemble control panel enclosure: – building plinths, assembling bays and side panels
- Layout chassis plates in line with panel layouts and work with Electrical Design
- Draughtsman to accomplish best panel layout and design
- Assemble components on to chassis plate and fix accordingly
- Using the issued wiring diagrams wire the control panel working with the Electrical
- Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician
- Electrical Control Panel Builder
- Mark up wiring diagrams as panel wiring completed and raising any errors detected with the Electrical Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician
- Cut any apertures within the control panels to accommodate fans, filters power sockets
- Work with the Automation Installation electricians in installing the control panels into the filling line/machines
