Electrical & Instrument Chargehand – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Workington, who are looking for an Electrical & Instrument Chargehand to join their growing team. The successful Electrical & Instrument Chargehand will have experience working in an industrial environment and have strong electrical engineering knowledge.
Salary: £42,000 – £44,000

Responsibilities:
- Training and development of the Maintenance Team
- Provide technical support to the Maintenance Team through first-line supervision during work execution.
- Electrical & Instrument Craft Chargehand to be the Site Ape (Authorised Person Electrical)
- Providing input into identification and monitoring of critical spares across the business utilising stock control systems including input, management, and improvement activities.
- Providing input into the development and improvement of preventative maintenance strategies, plans and standardised procedures for the execution of work within the Maintenance Team.
- Providing input into the preparation of work scopes for execution.
- Providing input and leading Root Cause Analysis as required.
- Deputising for the Electrical & Instrument Team Lead.
About You:
Qualifications / requirements:
- Time served Industrial Electrician
- Experience in an Industrial engineering environment
- ONC / HNC in Electrical / Instrument Engineering
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Save a Life (E&I)
- Some form of OHSE qualification (desirable)
- Leadership / supervision qualification (desirable)
