Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Hemswell, who is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. The client would be interested in an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who has experience in maintaining a vast array of different machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Practice & encourage others to deliver the highest standards of Health & safety at all times and ensure that all plant and ancillary equipment is maintained to these high standards
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping (within specified areas)
  • Ensure all Engineering Breakdowns (irrespective of priority) are identified and subsequently rectified as quickly as possible
  • Ensure that the detailed procedure of Shift Change / Handover of the department is carried out thoroughly and all relevant paperwork is compiled correctly with the on-coming personnel
  • Responsible for timely completion of all plant PPM schedules and to provide support for all site wide PPM programs
  • Ensure all Electrical Engineering Breakdowns are identified and assist in the prioritisation of the plant. During out of hours this will be your own Responsibility with the assistance of the Production Shift Manager and Engineering Team Leader.
  • Assist the Electrical and CBM Lead and Maintenance Manager in minimising machine down time by proposing & introducing improved electrical maintenance programmes & continuous improvement ideas.
  • Ensure all recording systems for work completion are correctly compiled with all relevant information detailed
  • Ensure good communication avenues are prevalent between the Engineering Teams & to the Operational teams (i.e. Production, Quality, Technical)
  • Work as part of a multi-functional Mechanical / Electrical on-site Team
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an Electrical Maintenance function within a fast paced environment.
  • Experience of fault finding on Automated controls systems such as PLC’s, HMI’s, Scada, Invertor drives, Profibus and some instrumentation
  • Ability to interrogate/read software on controls systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi etc.

Qualifications

  • Good academic qualifications (i.e. HNC / ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
  • Apprentice trained & qualified in an Electrical Maintenance Field
  • Desirable (18th Edition Training)
