We’re supporting our client, a leading global automotive company based in Telford, who are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Facilities Engineer will have good electrical knowledge and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
Position Overview: As a Facilities Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining all services to the factory, as well as the process and fabric of the building and to install new services.
Responsibilities for Facilities Engineer:
- Daily plant checks / readings as per statutory and company requirements
- Planned and reactive maintenance to all factory services and equipment
- Maintaining site services to factory and all processes, electric / Air / Process cooling water / softwater / non-pot and potable water
- Electrical fault finding and rectification on industrial plant
- Electrical installations to current regulations
- Control/monitor legionella throughout the factory and colling towers as per statutory requirements
- Testing fire systems as per company insurers requirements
- Control/maintain factory AHU/AC Systems
- Installation of new services and machines
- All external works
- Pump strip downs and rebuilds
- Maintain function of all factory sanitary systems
- Spillage response
- Monitor/ maintain abatement plant as per statuary requirements
- Waste water treatment as per Severn Trent discharge limits
- Factory 5’S for entire factory, internal/external
- Deputize when necessary for the Facilities Cell Leader
- Contractor monitoring and control
- Ensure all work is carried out to a safe working practice and hat all PPE requirements are met
- To liaise with other departments within the business and maintain good working relationships
- Maintain good working relationships with supplier
About You:
- Able to work alone or in a small group
- Good electrical knowledge and ability
- Pipe fitting, installs and repairs experience
- Plumbing experiencing (installs and repairs)
- Ability to strip/ rebuild pumps of various types and sizes
- Good communication skills
- Minimum of 3-year experience in a similar position
- Good IT skills (competent in 364 – Excel, PowerPoint etc).
- Electrical 18th Edition
- Full UK Driving licence
- Past experience leading a team, delegating and organising workloads
- Gas Safe registration is desirable
- Counterbalance licence is desirable
- MEWP Licence is desirable
- High voltage switching is desirable
- Electrical inspection and testing to 2391 or equivalent is desirable
- PLC Experience is desirable
