Mechanical Engineer – Field Based North Of England
Responsibilities:
- Working within your territory as part of a team.
- Work with all customer and non-customer accounts.
- Help develop and execute territory plans for development of the business.
- Work with all interested parties within FAM Stumabo to develop and implement the appropriate business strategy.
- Provide continuous input to the new product development process.
- Develop training and service programs (TCP) and increase revenue.
- Provide technical customer support internal and external.
- Responsible for TCP “total care package” conducting maintenance, breakdown calls and training.
- Capable of preparing cutting trials both internal and external on FAM equipment and associated trades partner machinery.
- Daily use of internal CRM system (ACT)
- Must be capable of producing end of month reports following a set template.
- Stock management.
- Support the actions of the sales & service team.
- Field Service Applications Engineer
- Understanding of PLC systems and programming would be a benefit.
- Reporting to the Branch Manager & Service Manager
- Willing to travel daily around your area/UK and Ireland (>80 % of your time) with overnight stay if needed.
- Travel is by use of a company van.
- Manage existing customers within your area and visiting attracting new using your engineering knowledge.
About You:
- Resilience and a must can-do attitude
- Previous experience in service would be an advantage
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads with good time management
- Engineering background at degree level or similar would be beneficial plus a history of customer support
- Poses a high level of administration ability to effectively manage paperwork
- Good relationship building skills
- A want to step into territory sales but have never been given the opportunity
