Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Salary: £35,000 – £43,000 basic + benefits

Shift Pattern: 9-5 Monday to Friday (basic) – On call rota of 1/4 potentially rising to 1/5
We’re supporting our client, a leading UK based company whose targeted markets include manufacturing companies and OEMS’s with requirements for AC inverters, AC Induction Motors, Control panels/systems and associated electrical components. The client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Field Service Engineer will have experience of ABB drives and possess a NVQ level 3 as a minimum requirement (17th Edition/ Degree qualification advantageous).
Position Overview: As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be able to work as part of a team providing on or off-site corrective and preventative maintenance. Your primary focus will be to respond to customer call out requests both contract (also out of hours) and non-contract, to evaluate and resolve any problems, to replace or install new equipment on site.
Responsibilities for Field Service Engineer:
- To work as part of a team providing on or off-site corrective and preventative maintenance
- Report to Service Manager
- To respond to customer call out requests both contract (also out of hours) and non-contract
- To evaluate and resolve any problems
- To replace or install new equipment on site
- To repair, test and maintain equipment inside/outside of Halcyon
- To maintain manuals, commissioning documentation and drawings
- To complete service report on site and send back to the office
- To liaise with Account Manager/Service Manager with feedback on service visits
- To develop and maintain good relationships with customers
- To make recommendations to customer maintenance technicians
- To offer information on future product, sales and service developments
- To offer customer training on site
- To provide telephone technical support to customers when required
- To update product knowledge on a regular basis
- To commission system control panels when required
- To make assessments for the preparation of quotations
- PAT testing and keeping log
- To be part of call out rota and respond within the pre-assigned response time when on call
About You:
- Ideally degree qualified however a minimum of NVQ L3 with experience.
