Group QHSE Manager – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading Injection Moulding manufacturer based in Rochdale who are looking for a Group QHSE Manager to join their growing team. The successful Group QHSE Manager will have experience of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality, business Processes and Internal training.

Responsibilities for Group QHSE Manager:
- Identify & report any Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality concerns to the Managing Director.
- Drive the implementation of the Company’s QHSE Management System and propose & implement improvements.
- Develop and drive business processes, awareness and strategy to support our current and proposed future ISO accreditations.
- Lead internal training and development initiatives.
- Take ownership of the business’ Quality Strategy, responses and actions.
- Establish and maintain a safe working culture and environment across all Business locations ensuring that safety policies and procedures are implemented, so far as is reasonably practicable.
- Identify and satisfy employee awareness, development and training needs for QHSE.
About You:
- Have experience in working in a QHSE leadership role in manufacturing environment.
- Be familiar and entirely comfortable with the quality tools required to meet the requirements of Automotive & Aerospace customers; FAIRs, 8D, RCA, ICA, FAI, APQP standards – PPAP and visual and physical Inspection
- Have the ability and gravitas to lead colleagues in adopting and adhering to the required processes and standards.
- Generate cost savings through developing a solid internal inspection process, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective action is implemented at the earliest opportunity.
- Be comfortable in getting ‘hands on’ and completing inspections using measurement tools such as pin gauge, callipers, hight gauge and CMM.
- Monitoring the production-line cycle, sharing findings with colleagues as the main aim is to prevent errors from occurring within the manufacturing process.
- A self-starter with strong passion for Process and a solid understanding of how to achieve effective cost savings through Continuous Improvement.
- Working knowledge of core quality process tools & SPC techniques.
- Knowledge or certification in 6 Sigma methodologies would be beneficial.
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and experience managing the same
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
- Experience in the use of inspection and measurement apparatus.
- Exposure to Precision tooling & technical injection moulding environment is highly advantageous.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
