We’re supporting our client, a leading Injection Moulding manufacturer based in Corby, who are looking for an Injection Mould Technician to join their growing team. The successful Injection Mould Technician will have experience of Injection Moulding processes, injection moulding machine knowledge and quality checks.
Responsibilities for Injection Mould Technician:
- Ensure that all your colleagues are working safely, adhering to all company requirements and wearing all required PPE.
- Attend safety meetings when on shift if requested and ensure H&S issues are reported immediately.
- Ensure that all health and safety issues identified on shift are reported and rectified.
- Cooperate fully with all management and representatives on safety matters at all times.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained at all times.
- Complete a handover at the start of the shift to address all housekeeping issues and report to Production Manager any issues found from previous shift.
- Be involved in maintaining daily hygiene of your machine and the work area around your machine (sweep, mop and wipe down the machine).
- Ensure that company hygiene rules are followed, this to include strict adherence to gowning procedure and personal hygiene (hands, body hygiene, change of contaminated clothing, foreign body management etc.).
- Ensure that Right First-Time standards are implemented and maintained.
- Ensure the appropriate paperwork, labels and specification are at the machine before production starts.
- At each start of shift check packaging against the specification to ensure correct box and liners are being used.
- Check product as shown during your quality training ensuring that quality, quantity and how product is packed is as per specification.
- All documentation is filled in correctly, accurately and can be easily read, and compliant with business requirements (increase attention must be given to special instructions included in the specification – metal detections, additional liners, skid box etc.).
- Ensure all production documentation is returned to the appropriate department for recording and storage.
- Ensure that box labels are signed off, regular recorded visual inspections are completed, and issues found with the product or machine are recorded and reported to setters for correction. Ensure that product is checked back once the issue was identified and faulty cavities removed.
- Work to build a team ethic and assist colleagues as required, be aware and ready to help with any problems which may arise.
- Work with Production Manager to ensure the shift runs efficiently and smoothly.
- Maintain a fair and non-hostile attitude toward other colleagues. Bring any problems to your line manager’s attention to be dealt with.
- Deep cleaning of machines as and when required.
- Assist with pallet wrapping if needed
- Carry out any other reasonable requests from QC or any other member of the production /management team
- Ensure BRCGS standards are maintained at all times as a matter of norm via education, control and team discipline.
