Injection Moulding Setter
Responsibilities:
- All aspects of tool changes to production hand over
- Machine preparation, setting and monitoring with the objective of continuous improvement
- Cleaning and preparing tools for storage between production runs
- Tool condition reporting
- Minor in house tool repairs
- Carrying out daily safety checks
- Machine Cleaning and preparation for production hand overs
- Water and oil leak repairs
- Bulk material handling
- Adhering to safe working processes at all times
- Ad-hoc maintenance tasks in both Injection moulding and other areas
- Tool trials
- Material trials
- Setting new tools/products.
- Pre-prepping moulds/machines before production runs.
About You:
- The ability to set and operate plastic injection moulding machines
- Injection moulding fault finding experience
- Experience moving/handling/turning moulds up to 6 tonne in weight, using overhead crane (licence required)
- Experience with core tools essential
- Methodical approach to material trials
- Experience with robots and sprue pickers would be advantageous, but not essential
