Maintenance Team Lead – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, specialising in global manufacturing, based in Dromcollogher, who are looking for a Maintenance Team Lead to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Team Lead will have experience in working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Team Lead:

  • Manage the overall activities of the Grinding department including but not limited to production, processing, machine maintenance and tooling maintenance.
  • Support with planning and scheduling of product changes with the Management Team to consistently meet expected product delivery schedules and inventory levels.
  • Responsible for assuring the efficient use of materials, machines, auxiliary equipment and employees.
  • Troubleshoot Grinder processes, machines, and auxiliary equipment problems and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime.
  • Set Grinding process parameters to ensure product meets dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to Grinding technicians and operators.
  • Maintain employee performance review, training, development and disciplinary programs.
  • Provide leadership in the maintenance of all operational systems and process controls associated with Grinding processing, Grinder maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair. (Documented Grinder set ups, process intervention logs, product dimensional and visual evaluations supporting product requirements, product validations, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance to all Grinding area related procedures, policies and work instructions.
  • Participate in and support the Quality Management System.
  • Support new tool design and development.
  • Air, Water and Material supply to Grinding Machines to be used, monitored and maintained to the highest Standards. PM’s to be carried out as needed.
  • Preventative maintenance approach to be taken with regards to Grinding machines and all axillary equipment. Ensuring PM plans as per machine supplier recommendations is maintained to the highest level of asset care.
  • Promote and support TPM projects within the Grinding Department.
  • Train and develop Grinding personnel relative to the Grinding process, promote employee understanding and adherence to safety regulations and the Quality Management System.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of world class preventative maintenance thinking., including Industry 4.0 thinking and projects
  • Setting and sharing best practice.

About You:

  • Engineering Degree / Relevant Technical Qualification / Relevant experience
  • Good general knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a production company
  • Understanding good manufacturing practices
  • Understanding PM and TPM
  • Ability to lead by teaching.
  • Solid written and spoken English skills
