Leather Trimmer (Upholster) – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Basildon, who are looking for a Leather Trimmer (Upholster) to join their growing team. The successful Leather Trimmer (Upholster) will have experience of working with leather / fabric to produce high quality finished products.

Salary:                         £16ph – £20ph

Responsibilities:

  • Days only – Monday to Friday
  • Leather / Fabric Trimming of Various Automotive Substrates and Products.
  • To Work with the Trimshop Team, to Produce High Quality Finished Items.
  • To Adhere to Work Instructions and Procedures.
  • To Maintain a Clean Working Area and Perform General Housekeeping Duties.
  • To Read and Follow Work Instructions (Training will be given).
  • Sewing Experience Would be a Bonus, But Not a Requirement.
  • To Communicate with the Trimshop Team, Engineers, Production & Quality Department Personnel to Resolve Quality and Production Issues.
  • Responsible for Keeping Equipment Clean and Perform Basic Preventative Maintenance on equipment (Training will be given).
  • Within the Scope of the Job Requirements, You Will be Required to Adhere and Comply with Company Quality Program and Procedures, Company Policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • Ensure that Safe Working Practices are Followed at all times.
  • Inspection of Final Product.
  • Active Involvement in Continuous Improvement Techniques.
  • Undergo Training on Gerber Taurus II, Leather Skiver, Hydraulic Press, as Required.
  • Comply with all Company Rules and HS&E Guidelines.
  • Uphold all Polices in Relation to Health, Safety and Welfare.
