Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Assist with mechanical and electrical planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across site to ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose and downtime is kept to a minimum. Maintenance to include but not limited to, mobile racking, conveyors, lighting, processing lines.
- Work alongside external contractors to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments have been completed for all work carried out.
- Assist with technical support on all production and packaging lines.
- Work closely with the Operations Team to achieve KPI targets through continuous improvement.
- Keep a clean and tidy work environment in line with Health & Safety.
- Attend out of hour call outs as required on a rota basis.
- Assess own training needs and discuss with Management Team in regular feedback sessions.
Skills / Knowledge
- Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance
- Refrigeration knowledge/experience
- Ammonia knowledge
- Warehouse/Distribution knowledge/experience
- Computer knowledge
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving organization
- Responsive problem-solving skills with an action-oriented mind set
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise accordingly
Qualifications
- NVQ, BTEC, NNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 17th/18th Edition Qualified – desirable
