Maintenance Engineer – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Bootle, who are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Engineer will have experience of working with Injection Moulding machines and robotics.
Salary: £40,000
Shifts: Days (Monday – Friday)

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for breakdown and repairs on all machinery across the site.
- Responsible for buildings maintenance and repair.
- To implement and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepares and maintains accurate layouts of building, production lines and equipment.
- Work with outside suppliers to specify, develop and purchase reliable equipment, fixtures and tools.
- Analyses and improves processes for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
- Responsibility for the implementation, and continual updating of a full maintenance programme across the whole site.
- Troubleshoots production and quality problems to limit the negative financial and customer impact. Analyses root causes of problems to prevent recurrence. Leads teams through 5D and 8D process to root cause of problems. Use Corrective Action Database for problems that require read-across solutions.
- Supports the internal quality system through the application, evaluation, revision and addition of policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support and sourcing for tooling quotes, suppliers, and project timelines.
- Responsible for root cause analysis studies and corrective action plan implementation as appropriate.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or related field. (Preferable)
- Seven to ten years of experience in a similar role.
- Qualified electrical experience with domestic and 3 phase supplies, working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics and pneumatics.
- Strong skills and experience with personal computers and business software to include Oracle or ERP equivalent, MS Word, statistical software and MS Excel.
- A broad and deep knowledge of manufacturing and process technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and planning skills.
- Provide technical support and sourcing for tooling quotes, suppliers, and project timelines.
