We’re supporting our client, a leading recycling company based in St. Peters, Missouri who are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Manager should have experience with welding/plasma cutting/fabrication and experience with hydraulic maintenance and repair (cylinders, fitting, and hose fabrication).
Salary: $85,000 – $115,000

Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, upkeep and functional operation of all equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- OVERSEE and/or PERFORM the maintenance of all equipment, machines, buildings, vehicles and tools.
- Develop strategic third-party vendor relationships to perform maintenance when it makes fiscal sense to outsource work.
- Source and purchase parts and tools in most cost-effective manner.
- Collaborate with transportation team to ensure equipment is maintained and is safe and effective.
- Conduct employment interviews and work with HR to ensure department is fully staffed.
- Ensure that employees receive proper training and certifications necessary to maintain equipment and machinery.
- Lead team in overall safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self and employees.
- Assists with safety investigations.
- Supports QEHS Manager in rolling out processes, training and being an overall leader in safety.
- Mentor, coach, train and develop direct reports.
- Participate in weekly Level 10 and monthly safety meetings.
- Scorecard owner for the maintenance budget and ensure that all repairs are made in the most cost-effective and productive manner.
- LMA-Lead, Manage and Hold Accountable team members.
- Is the subject matter expert for all maintenance matters.
- Develop self-managed team.
About You:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formalized mechanical training (trade school, armed services, tenured experience).
- Excellent knowledge of operations, leadership, analytical, communication and computer skills.
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems; deal with many variables and determine best course of action.
- Forklift, skid steer and material handler operator experience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk/climb in active an active, industrial environment with uneven surfaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform physical activities necessary to complete maintenance repairs.

- Knowledge of diesel engine technology maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations and guidelines.
- Knowledge of road trailers/scrap haulers/dump trailers/roll off trailer maintenance and repair.
- Experience with welding/plasma cutting/fabrication.
- Experience with hydraulic maintenance and repair (cylinders, fitting, and hose fabrication).
- Experience with pneumatics maintenance and repair (hose, fittings, and couplers).
- Experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair of material handlers (overhead crane), shears, grapples and excavators.
- Electrical experience.
- Experience with small equipment maintenance and repair (forklifts, bobcat skid steers industrialized floor scales).
- Knowledge of specialized baler equipment maintenance and repair.
- Experience with building maintenance and repair (HVAC, loading docks, overhead doors, electrical, plumbing, concrete maintenance and general interior maintenance).
- Knowledge of tire maintenance and repair (truck and trailer).
