Manufacturing Leader – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading toolmaking and assembly business, based in Birmingham, who are looking for a Manufacturing Leader to join their growing team. Due to the acquisition of new customers and projects, they are looking for a Manufacturing Leader for their Birmingham site. You will have experience of working within a pressings or stampings environment for this role.
Salary: £43,000 – £45,000

Responsibilities:
- Continuous improvement and lean management.
- Management of KPIs/manufacturing targets.
- Leading the quality process/leading auditing activity.
- Training and coaching the team to optimise skills.
- Implementing changes to meet and exceed manufacturing targets.
- Production planning
- Problem solving
- Managing tooling and processes.
- Project management
- Responsible for implementation of health and safety/ensuring best practices.
- Involved with NPI/NPI meetings.
- Implementing and overseeing ISO
- Creating methodologies to improve production and reduce costs/scrap.
- Working from the Birmingham site primarily (but also from their site in Dudley when needed).
- Customer support
- Recruitment of staff
- Troubleshooting
- Budget management
About You:
- Previous experience within a presswork/stampings environment.
- Leadership skills
- Knowledge of (press) tooling and processes.
- Experience within foundry/castings environment also considered.
- Time served and previous ‘hands-on’ experience. A technical understanding of machinery and processes.
