We’re supporting our client, a leading custom roll forming company based in Louisville, Kentucky who are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Mechanical Engineer will have pervious experience with designing flat pierce or progressive dies.
Salary: $100,000 – $130,000
Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: Louisville, KY
Job Start date: ASAP
Shift Pattern: 1st shift – 7:00am through 3:30pm

About You:
- Must have a firm grasp on how machined parts are made.
- Must have knowledge of various fabrication methods.
- Must have good experience with some kind of modeling software.
- Must have knowledge of PLC’s and simple electrical layouts.
Job Summary:
Looking for a bright, creative and energetic engineer looking for an opportunity with a growing manufacturing company. There are a wide variety of projects we work on. We need someone to design machines, gauges, fixtures, and tooling. The layout and programming of PLC systems is also possible.
- Using a CAD system to model & layout your own designs for various dies, fixtures, and machines:
- Flying cut-off and pre-notch dies for roll forming lines.
- Pre-notch feed dies, some with gags.
- Piercing and forming post operation dies.
- Side fixtures for roll forming lines.
- Miscellaneous fixturing.
- Large and small custom machines and mechanisms.
- Layout of your designs in a way so that they can be made on a CNC equipment or on conventional manual machines.
- Supervising tryouts of dies, fixtures as well as troubleshooting issues with designed mechanisms and machines.
- PLC & motion control electrical layouts and programming for custom machines
- Automation Direct PLC’s
- Trio motion controls
- Commission and trouble shoot programming.
- Support maintenance with troubleshooting issues with production/CNC equipment.
- Assist production with problems concerning tooling or programming that are encountered during the manufacturing process.
