Moulding Setter
Responsibilities:
- To provide general support to the Moulding Division, ensuring a constant high-level of housekeeping across all areas ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, safety standards are adhered to consistently at all times and work is completed to within agreed safe practices and legislation.
- To monitor the quality of production with responsibility to deliver against customer specifications and reacting to issues where quality parameters could be improved or compromised.
- Ensuring production output is delivered to within the targeted cost, quality and time requirements, noting and reporting upon any variation to the target performance criteria or deviation from any expected operating parameters.
- Completion of all standard tooling operations to include tool preparation, insert changes, tool hanging/removal and close down, ensuring at all times production jobs are completed to relevant production standards whilst optimising processes to deliver maximum efficiency.
- Set up, run and monitor all automated and ancillary equipment for each production line or cell, to include, dryers, hot runners, temperature controllers and hoppers.
- Application of process knowledge to troubleshoot a wide range of processing issues, raw material behaviours and ancillary faults
- Diligently maintain accurate records and data to support monitoring of all performance criteria
- To supervise Mould Shop Operatives, working collaboratively to achieve the delivery of the companies aims and objectives.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Materials Processing experience to include PVC, ABS, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene & Glass Filled Nylon
- Tool Hanging/Removal & Setting of Injection Mould Presses
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
- Quality Focused
- Process & Efficiency Focused
- Basic Machine Maintenance – Advantageous
- Forklift Licence – Advantageous
