We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer and engineering service provider based in Folkestone, who are looking for a NPI Engineer to join their growing team.
Responsibilities for NPI Engineer:
- This is a new position within the company and has been brought about by the long term successes in procuring new projects in various aspects of the business.
- The position will be the connection point between the Technical/Projects and the manufacturing teams so excellent and precise communication skills will be a pre-requisute.
- It will require involvement in projects from start to finish and exposure to a wide variety of clients including Niche Automotive, Aerospace, Defence & Medical amongst many others, being a new position the candidate can adapt their own working practices to suit the requirements of the job.
- The position will be based at Folkestone site (Tooling & Moulding Division) reporting directly to the Group Technical Director and will be predominantly office/shopfloor based but will involve some travelling to customers and suppliers alike.
About You:
- Experience with CAD systems (Mainly viewing but design skills are a definite advantage)
- Top level skills in MS Office particularly Powerpoint & Excel.
- Knowledge of Injection Mould Tooling, Processing & Materials.
- Secondary Operations such as US Welding, Painting, Printing & Manual Assembly.
- Experience of working with ISO9001 Quality Standards/Systems.
- Experienced in generating ISIR, PPAP, PSW, IMDS etc
- Commercially astute.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
