Process Engineer – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading global Plastics manufacturer based in County Limerick, who are looking for a Process Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Process Engineer will have experience of Injection Moulding, Production processes and Quality compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assuring the efficient use of materials, machines, moulds, auxiliary equipment and employees.
- Perform mould set up and colour changes to meet production demands as needed.
- Troubleshoot mould processes, machines, and auxiliary equipment problems and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime.
- Set moulding process parameters to ensure product meets dimensional and quality requirements.
- Provide technical assistance to moulding technicians and operators.
- Ensure compliance to all moulding area related procedures, policies and work instructions.
- Participate in and support the Quality Management System.
- Support new tool design and development.
- Air, Water and Material supply to Moulding Machines to be used, monitored and maintained to the highest Standards. PM’s to be carried out as needed.
- Preventative maintenance approach to be taken with regards to Injection Moulding machine and all axillary equipment. Ensuring PM plans as per machine supplier recommendations is maintained to the highest level of asset care.
- Promote and support TPM projects within the Moulding Department.
- Develop and maintain a culture of world class preventative maintenance thinking., including Industry 4.0 thinking and projects
- Setting and sharing best practice.
About You:
- Engineering Degree – preferable in Injection moulding / polymer.
- Polymer knowledge
- Good general knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a production company
- Understanding good manufacturing practices
- Understanding PM and TPM
- Ability to lead by teaching.
- Solid written and spoken English skills
