Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
We’re supporting our client, a leading global equipment manufacturer based in Tinahely, Co.Wicklow, who are looking for a Process Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Process Engineer will have experience of manufacturing processes, problem solving and compliance.
Responsibilities for Process Engineer:
- Responsible for the design, implementation, control, and optimisation of manufacturing processes
- Lead process optimisation initiatives to ensure tools are running efficiently and within cycle times and are producing quality parts. Ensure the machine settings are as per the validated status.
- Responsible for monitoring the manufacturing process using tools such as SPC (Statistical Process control)
- Assist with the introduction and validation of new tooling as required.
- Carry out new tooling and material trials where required.
- Supporting the shift by reporting on/resolving process/technical issues using structured problem solving techniques such as DMAIC, 8D or other applicable tools
- Work cross functionally with maintenance, toolroom, quality, etc. to ensure technical support on quality concerns.
- Oversee and carry out tool changes with the process technicians whenever required.
- Ensure all machines are operated in a correct and safe manor, including following the correct startup and shutdown procedures, and provide training where required.
- Ensure all moulding machines and ancillary equipment are working correctly and report any concerns.
- Ensure compliance to ISO 13485, standards/customer specifications and Quality Management Systems or any other Quality System that may be installed in the Company.
- Ensure all documentation is filled in compliance with ISO 13485. Including but not limited to; batch documentation, Trial documentation and validations.
- Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements training, and regulations.
- To strictly comply to all approved procedures within Quality Management System, at all times
- Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures, and corporate policies.
About You:
- A degree/qualification in polymer processing or process technologies.
- Previous experience in an injection-moulding production environment would be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to accurately document work performed.
- Knowledge in computer systems; integrated manufacturing systems; word processing and spreadsheets.
- Be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- 4 years in a similar role.
