Production Supervisor – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading global Cable Management manufacturer based in Suffolk, who are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their growing team. The successful Production Supervisor will have experience of Production, Scheduling and reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage shift resource, production and support activities
- Ensure that production schedules are adhered to efficiently
- Responsible for running of production extrusion lines and associated equipment, in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Maintain factory health and safety standards and compliance
- Monitor and report on Production KPIs and metrics to ensure targets are achieved
- Performance management of production team
- Development and delivery of training plans for production staff
- Responsible for shop floor cleanliness and organisation utilising 5S methodology
- Monitor production stock and inventory and report on work in progress
- Ensure all relevant production data is entered into the company SAP ERP systems accurately in real time
About You:
- Modern apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline is desirable.
- Typically, 4+ years working in a Production environment.
- Good knowledge of production machinery, equipment or similar continuous process.
- Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and techniques
- Proven track record in people development and mentoring
- Hands-on and leads by example
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that clearly convey information and ideas.
- Strong team player, working across departments to achieve business goals
- Proficient in the use of MRP systems such as SAP with supporting IT skills in Excel and Word
- Ability to analyse and resolve technical problems at root cause
- Takes responsibility – Accepts responsibility for outcomes (positive or negative) for one’s work; admits mistakes and refocuses efforts when appropriate.
- Encourages others to take responsibility – Provides encouragement and support to others in accepting responsibility; does not accept others’ denial of responsibility without questioning.
