We’re supporting our client, a global, leading cooling solutions provider based in Suffolk, who are looking for a Project Design Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Project Design Engineer will have previous experience of planning projects and designing drawings using AutoCAD Inventor. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into Project Management.
Responsibilities for Project Design Engineer:
- Produce assembly, layout and manufacturing drawings with 3D AutoCAD Inventor for standard freezers, in line with standard procedures
- Identify scope for improvement opportunities
- Research and development for new system opportunities
- Ensure prompt response to queries, escalating as appropriate within the business
- Maintain positive image of company brand
- Understand customer requirements and develop solutions where necessary
- Deliver project design on time and at target margin or better
- Prompt identification and resolution of deviations from plan and effective reporting to wider Projects team, highlighting any issues to Head of Projects
- Identify cost saving opportunities in project design, production and processes
- Teamwork & support for other departments
- Expand sector knowledge – software & product information
- Submit engineering documentation in line with standard procedure
- Comply with design health and safety requirements
About You:
- High standards and a commitment to quality during the completion of every task
- Methodical approach to problems and resolution
- Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings
- Previous experience with AutoCAD Inventor
- Strong communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
