Project Engineer – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, who are specializing in material handling and processing equipment based in Louisville, KY who are looking for a Project Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Project Engineer will have previous experience in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Salary:                         $75,000 – $80,000 (salary can be increased on experience)

Schedule:                    8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and accurately cost custom-designed process machinery.
  • Create technical and pricing proposals.
  • Conduct and supervise laboratory testing on materials supplied by customers (e.g., drying, cooling, screening, classifying, dewatering, or conveying tests).
  • Develop technical specifications, processing parameters, and operating instructions.
  • Direct and supervise designers in developing equipment engineering drawings.
  • Provide technical consultation to company departments and customers and troubleshoot and resolve field problems.
  • Manage multiple projects in various phases and delegate internal or external action items.
  • Complete documentation per customer specifications.
  • Assist with equipment startup, either remotely or at the job site.

 

About You:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Technical skill and knowledge in mechanical engineering, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with departments, sales representatives, vendors, and customers.

 

Qualifications that are a plus:

  • Master of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with typical fabrication methods and materials.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MathCAD.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems and read engineering drawings.
