Project Engineer – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading global equipment manufacturer based in Barberton OH, who are looking for a Project Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Project Engineer will have experience of working within a high-volume manufacturing environment and lead engineering projects from launch through commissioning start up.
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000

Job Summary:
As a Project Engineer you will lead engineering projects from launch through commissioning and startup. Can work with and direct company associates, consultants, and contractors as the project requires. Lead all disciplines on complex engineering problems and projects requiring unique solutions promptly. Direct others in the completion of feasibility studies, process safety analysis, engineering designs, layouts, economic studies, authorization requests, and other work required for management decisions. Implement approved jobs through the creation of project drawings and specifications, equipment procurement, awarding of construction contracts, field construction, and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
- Use industry design, construction & maintenance codes including API, ASME, NFPA & ASCE.
- Recognize and follow state & local building codes, insurance requirements and environmental regulations.
- Securing of the best technology available to develop project designs, based on know-how, and prior industrial and processing experience.
- Support site mechanical integrity efforts through coded vessel repairs and replacements.
- Ensure compliance with EHS procedures, policies, and codes.
- Participate on, versatile teams to support projects, and daily operations.
- Support of site capital planning projects.
About You:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering: Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years engineering, maintenance or manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing/chemical process environment.
- Experience leading capital projects of multiple sizes and scopes.
- Track record in delivering projects on time and in budget, while meeting project goals.
- Experience with AutoCAD. SAP experience
- Decision-making and communication with multiple salary and wage associates.
- Troubleshooting
- Sigma Logic Experience preferred.
