Project Manager – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a global leading multisector company based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, who are looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team. The successful Project Manager will have experience of planning and executing projects, working knowledge of project management software tools and have Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills.
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000

Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of projects. Duties include planning, designing, executing, and monitoring every aspect of one or multiple projects.
- Meet with top management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs. Set up the objectives and manage budget.
- Ability to read Flow Diagrams PFD & PID and transform drawings into RFQ’s, scope of work and work packages.
- Develop detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate internally with Germany or other subsidiaries, for the deliveries of equipment’s, spares or other items manufactured abroad.
- Implement and manage commissioning and installation schedules with engineering team.
- Manage the commissioning team (3 pax), schedule and priorities, accurate reporting with client.
- Manage the purchasing team (1 pax) and ensure cost optimization + company compliance.
- Assess risks associated with projects and developing plans to mitigate those risks.
- Manage construction schedules and team at site.
- Manage contracts and change order process.
- Schedule and oversee the work of contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
About You:
- Working knowledge of project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, or other relevant applications.
- Strong knowledge of engineering practices, mechanical, electrical or controls and automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives.
- Great knowledge of financial and business management techniques.
- Ability to balance conflicting interests.
- The ideal candidate should have at least a bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent and a degree in project or business management accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM) or have advanced Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.
Physical Requirements, Travel & Special Circumstances:
- Ability to travel and meet customers countrywide 25-50% of time.
- International travel may be required.
- Driving license.
- Company car provided if required.
