Quality Manager – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading global Outdoor Power Equipment manufacturer based in County Durham, who are looking for a Quality Manager to join their growing team. The successful Quality Manager will have experience of flow assembly lines & Injection Moulding processes, ISO and quality techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • The health and safety of a team of professional Quality Engineers; Technicians and Product/Process Auditors.
  • Setting & monitoring factory Quality KPI’s in line with group targets.
  • Maintain & improve company integrated systems to ensure continued approvals to ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001.
  • Lead liaison with all stakeholders on quality / approval related concerns.
  • Drive quality related improvements to enhance performance & product quality.
  • Contributing to business strategy development
  • Support new product introductions, ensuring all quality processes & activities are available.
  • Provide support to assembly & moulding to ensure productivity does not suffer due to quality concerns.
  • Ensure weekly & monthly reporting requirements are completed & available.
  • Setting & maintaining department budgets & manning needs.
  • Management of day to day running of quality departments in assembly & moulding.
  • Consider and support risks and opportunities associated with change, and support Business Continuity Planning.

About You:

  • Experience in flow line assembly & injection moulding processes.
  • Knowledge of ISO systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 50001)
  • Knowledge of quality techniques (8D, FMEA, Poka-Yoke, PDCA, 5S)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent team player with a positive attitude to learning and developing their skill set.
