Quality Manager – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Redditch, who are looking for a Quality Manager to join their growing team. The successful Quality Manager will have experience of effectively utilizing the core tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP).
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000

Responsibilities:
- Management of the Quality Department
- Day to day support of departmental activities and those of the management team
- Develop trust and good working relationships with key customers and suppliers
- Support to manage customer and Supplier issues
- Management of company systems
- Management review – coordination and reporting
- Assistance with New Product Introduction, creation and maintenance of appropriate quality documentation
- Root cause analysis:
Ownership of investigations from start to closure
implementation of containment
working with cross functional teams to ensure robust corrective actions
Providing feedback to manufacturing teams (all levels from Operators to Senior Management)
Control Plan and PFMEA maintenance (reflecting revised controls)
- Co-ordination of Internal audits (System, product and process)
- Effective resolution of non-conformance issues with supplied materials and components
- Supplier improvement activities with respect to persistent problems
- Provide technical support for internal and external customers
- Effective analysis of data (trend, root cause and corrective action)
- Compilation and reporting of quality department KPIs
- Responsible for updating personal job and product knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and encouraging sub-ordinates to undertake appropriate activities to further their own knowledge and understanding
- Company representative for Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Systems
- Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role

- Able to make pertinent decisions to determine the best course of action
- Analytical and data driven, with a statistical aptitude, when solving problems
- Able to effectively utilize the core tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP)
- Team focused, tolerant and methodical.
- Able to work well under pressure
- Able to provide leadership, motivation and training of the Quality Team
- Highly conscientious, inquisitive, innovative, resourceful and diligent with an eye for detail.
- Competent with oral and written communications
- Good time management will be a prominent skill
