Robot Commissioning Engineer – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a family-owned, global machine tool manufacturer, their UK site is based in Staffordshire, and they are looking for Robot Commissioning Engineers to join their growing team. The successful Electrical Commissioning Engineer will have previous experience programming and commissioning Robots.

Responsibilities:

  • For the first initial 6 months, you will be training overseas (fortnightly visits to the UK on offer)
  • Once you have completed training you will be on implementing your training on-site in West Midlands, after 18 months on project site, this will become a service role (on a permanent basis of employment)
  • As a programmer and commissioning engineer for robots, your area of ​​responsibility includes teaching, running in and optimizing robot programs.
  • You take care of the basic robot commissioning and commissioning of the interface to the cell control (PLC)
  • You are responsible for setting up and testing the safety configuration on the robot controller.
  • They support troubleshooting (electrical/ mechanical/ software)
  • You create robot programs and test them on the simulation model.

About You:

  • You must have the knowledge you know how to deal with control-related challenges and how to implement solutions for automation.
  • You have completed training in the field of mechatronics, electronics, or automation technology.
  • Experience in programming and commissioning PLC or CNC controls and robot controls (manufacturers: KUKA, or ABB) is desirable.
