Sales Manager – Recycling Materials – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading plastic ancillary equipment supplier based in Tamworth, who are looking for a Sales Manager to join their growing team. The successful Sales Manager will have exposure to the recycling materials sector and at least 3 years of sales experience.

Responsibilities:

  • The key deliver is a profitable supply chain of recycled scrap plastic to sell into our manufacturing customers.
  • Initially focusing on plastics, establish contacts with sources of scrap plastic to establish regular supply chains into the recyclers. The output from the recyclers can then be sold into our plastic manufacturing customers.
  • Spot sales of waste plastic into recyclers and from recyclers into plastic manufacturers.
  • As opportunities arise look at other light (paper, wood etc.) recycling deals.
  • The company will not hold stock or speculate on the price of waste, rather we wish to trade into the existing recycling capacity across the UK.
  • Back-office admin, finance, relationship and management structures.
  • Market Map showing where waste plastic by type is generated, the recyclers and their capabilities and demand from manufacturers and re-sellers.
  • Profitable sales per month to target both revenue and gross margin.
  • Contracts with waste generation for volume of specific plastic types.
  • Contracts with recyclers to utilise capacity.
  • Contracts to supply recycled material into plastic manufacturers or re-sellers.

Essential Experience:

  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Engineering knowledge
  • Exposure to the recycling materials sector
