Job Description

Supply Planner

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the supply management for both inter-company & 3rd party vendors, placing orders & coordinating delivery ensuring stock is available to meet company & customer requirements
  • Actively reconciling vendor accounts & communicating all delivery schedules
  • To control stock inventory against company targets
  • To process all customs clearance documentation regarding import of goods, ensuring correct duty declared to HMRC, whilst liaising with our clearance agent to ensure smooth delivery
  • To work closely with many intercompany departments (including & not exclusively Customer Services, Demand Planning, Sourcing, Quality, Warehouse, Distribution & Product Management) to ensure Supply Chain issues are resolved quickly
  • Control of packaging & transportation costs.
  • To gather quotes & communicate any air freight requirements to customer
  • The role may also be required to train and support other resources around the business
  • Monitor the performance of suppliers, providing regular feedback and working with them to implement systems and procedures to actively improve their performance. Report against KPI’s. Provide root cause analysis into order book failures and identify robust corrective actions from this
  • Establish written procedures and reports for the Supply Planning function
  • Provide training at site level where appropriate
  • Reconciliation of system & vendor accounts, processing invoices, credit notes, replacement parts
  • Accountable for vendor invoices, including approval for freight & packaging costs
  • Actively manage supplier & transportation lead-times & ensure that MRP parameters (pricing & supplier records, reorder points, lead-times, MOQ’s, planning parameters) are correct & communicate errors to relevant departments

About You:

  • Previous significant track record of planning and replenishment systems, allied to a demonstrable customer service orientation, within both an international and multi-site environment
  • Previous knowledge of MRP ERP systems and ability to complete multi functions involved in the supply chain, including forecasting, planning, scheduling and vendor management
  • Well organised person, able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Must be highly IT literate. Advanced Excel
