We’re supporting our client, a leading global Injection moulder based in Stevenage, who are looking for a Toolmaker to join their growing team. The successful Toolmaker will have experience of Injection Mould tools, tool maintenance & repair.
Manufacture and modification of Injection mould tools in a modern well equipped toolroom, with Hurco machining centres, Sodick Wire eroders, Sodick CNC Spark eroders, Jones & Shipman surface grinders, in house design using Pro Engineer and CAM programming using Powermill.
Responsibilities for Toolmaker:
- Use of manual milling machines
- Use of lathes
- Use of surface and cylindrical grinders
- Use of manual and CNC spark eroders
- Use of CNC wire eroder
- Modification and repair of Injection Mould Tools in well-equipped modern tool room
- Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools, using the latest technology in a newly fitted out toolroom
- Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders
- Preparing new mould tools for production
- Wiring of Hot runner systems and fault finding
About You:
- Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting
- Experience in injection mould Toolmaking, and high precision machining
- Understand and have experience of fitting and assembly of complex mould tools including their repair
- Have the ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety.
- Ability to communicate well and be a part of a team in a small business
