Validation Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Designs for EMC, Safety, HDMI, and Display Port compliance. Advise the design team on technical solutions and requirements for related compliance.
- Conducting in house HDMI and DisplayPort validation activities and produce reports for submission to the relevant authorities.
- Arranging and overseeing EMC and Safety testing, maintain UL product certifications and oversea UL site audits.
- Managing the component obsolescence and product sustaining activities for R&D, including determination of suitable alternative components, and providing product management with regular updates on product obsolescence issues.
- Providing guidance to R&D project teams on quality requirements, test specifications and design considerations for acceptable quality.
About You:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word for the purposes of data analysis and reporting.
- Familiar with the use and purpose of ERP systems, Epicor preferred.
- Experience with HDMI/DisplayPort specifications and test requirements.
- Experience of EMC and Electrical safety requirements for EU/UK/US/CAN.
- Sound knowledge of EMC/FCC/ICES compliance for intentional/unintentional radiators.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow specifications and technical drawings.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely across functions and levels.
- Able to work independently and prioritise own workload.
- Ability to interpret ambiguous or unclear requirements based on experience and good practice into workable solutions.
