Workshop Technician – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading machinery manufacturer based in Luton, who are looking for a Workshop Technician to join their growing team. The successful Workshop Technician will have experience of assembly / stripping down of machinery as well as general warehouse / workshop duties.

Salary:                         £12- £13.50ph

Responsibilities:

  • Clean machines down to the required standard
  • Assist engineers with stripping and rebuilding presses
  • Repainting machines to a very high standard
  • General housekeeping of the warehouse and workshop
  • Full training provided throughout employment
  • Team worker, willing to show innovative ideas/skills
  • Salary dependent on skills and experience, but typically £25-28k dependant on experience, skills etc…
  • Standard working week is Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm, however a degree of flexibility is required to ensure jobs are attended to efficiently.
  • Overtime is paid for weekend working, 1.5 and 2.0 times for Sat and Sun respectively

About You:

  • The person will need to have a meticulous eye for detail and will be required to work efficiently and to deadlines set and have the ability to overcome and issues encountered either using their own initiative or liaising with other team members.
  • Work on own initiative as required
  • Must have a ‘can do’ mentality
