We are working with a leading packaging manufacturer in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader to join a growing operation. This is a high-impact role focused on driving efficiency, standardisation, and operational excellence across a corrugated packaging facility.
 
Job Summary:

As a Continuous Improvement Leader, you’ll lead continuous improvement initiatives, analyse manufacturing processes, and implement changes that improve productivity, quality, and consistency. Working cross-functionally with Design, Production, and Operations, you will play a key role in embedding a culture of continuous improvement and long-term performance gains.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across corrugated packaging production.
  • Analyse workflows, machine performance, and operational data to identify inefficiencies.
  • Reduce setup times and improve throughput and equipment utilisation.
  • Collaborate with Design to standardise processes and specifications.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to implement best practices.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, SMED, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Monitor KPIs and track project performance.
  • Train and coach teams on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 
About You:

  • Experience in packaging manufacturing is essential
  • Strong background in Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, or Operational Excellence
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related CI tools
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce waste, shorten changeover times, and boost production efficiency
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • A proactive, hands‑on problem‑solver with a passion for process optimisation
  • Ability to lead culture change and influence teams at all levels
