I studied at the University of Gloucestershire in which I completed a Degree in Events Management. I went on to join a specialist Technical and Engineering recruitment company, progressing up to Senior Consultant.
I really wanted to build upon my knowledge, skills and successes, taking the next step to challenge myself where I could implement my own ideas and ethos - which is why Willcox Matthews was formed with two colleagues and close friends.
Out of the office: A keen footballer, playing Semi professionally and support Birmingham City. I try to go to the gym as much as possible... that’s if I’m able to get up in the mornings! I really enjoy spending time with my friends, family and partner, going on as many holidays as possible!

Supported with a Degree in Sports Science at Worcester University, I went straight into recruitment spending 12 years with the same technical engineering recruitment company, rising to the level of Principal Consultant.

Out of the office: In my personal life I spend most of my spare time with my 2 young daughters which includes walks, national trust days, swimming, activity holidays and generally cleaning up after them! I also enjoy playing football, going to the gym, DIY work around the house, watching films, poker nights and sleeping.

After securing a degree in Politics from the University of Lincoln, I went on to work in two different sales roles. One selling advertising in the official Morgan Car Magazine and the other selling IT Software to Estate Agents. I finally found my calling in recruiting working for the same company for just under 4 years.
Willcox Matthews is the natural progression in my career. Working with two friends and former colleagues, we are building and maintaining a company that will provide a successful and reliable service to our clients.
Out of the office: In my spare time I enjoy various tv series, spending time with friends and family which may include a few cheeky beers on the weekend and exploring different destinations overseas.

From a very young age I have been golf mad, starting from the bottom with a handicap of 48 I progressed through the ranks from county level to playing in some of the biggest England Golf events. From there I became Professional playing on the Europro, but with set-backs I decided to look at other paths and found myself in recruitment and not looked back since.
I am a really keen learner and hopefully over the years I will be able to pass over my knowledge and experience to ambitious new peers that are wanting to understand the recruitment trade and along the way building the Willcox Matthews family.

Out of the office: I have a season ticket with Aston Villa and like my golf career, it has been a roller coaster! I’m always spending time with my family, friends and jumping on a plane as much as possible!

After earning a degree in Television and Digital Media Production, I worked as a receptionist and front-of-house before heading to Vietnam for my TEFL certification. I then spent two and a half years teaching English in South Korea, eventually becoming head teacher at a kindergarten. I thrive on organizing chaos with color-coded spreadsheets and project plans, while also enjoying the creative side of marketing.

I studied Sport Business & Media at UCFB (Manchester) between 2018-2021. After completing my degree, I went on to join a local recruitment agency based in the heart of Worcester specialising in the Automotive, Engineering and Hospitality sectors.
After building my experience and knowledge up for well over a year in recruitment I was approached by one of the Willcox Matthews Directors, Jake, with the opportunity of joining the team. I felt like this was a natural progression in continuing my development and furthering my career in Recruitment.
Out of the office, I am an avid football fan, following Aston Villa home and away. I also try and keep as physically active as possible with going to the gym and running. In addition to my sporting hobbies, I enjoy socialising with friends over a beer or two!

After completing my Master’s in Forensic Psychology and getting some varied work experience in the field, I decided to take a time out and landed in Recruitment.
Nearly 5 years later, I am still here and have progressed to Senior Recruitment Consultant – thoroughly enjoying my role. In addition to resourcing the best talent in engineering, I am also an Independent Panel Member for a Fostering Panel, which I have done for 10 years and gained some invaluable experience.

After completing my degree in English Literature, I continued working and supporting myself financially within a customer service role, until progressing into recruitment. My first step was resourcing for technical and IT-based roles within the UK and Europe. Learning about software and how employers use it to help their business - then subsequently selling the software and role to prospective candidates - was always a part of the job I enjoyed. Following my position as a resourcer, I progressed further, going into the role of a consultant within the engineering sector. Equally, my experience in the engineering sector so far has afforded me the same pleasure and the desire to learn.
I have recently relocated to Worcestershire (I am a Solihull/Brummy girl at heart) with the intention of starting anew and forging my own successful career. Even at thirty-one, I believe it’s not too late to do this!
Out of the office: I am the proud owner of a large collection of Oxford World, Penguin and Vintage Classics books. Collecting books (and of course reading them) is my primary passion. I also enjoy sketching, hiking and spending time with my fiancé, family and friends. I am a dog lover and love spending time with my boisterous but affectionate Jack Russell, Poppy.
