We’re partnering with our client, a market‑leading manufacturer in Warsaw, Indiana, to recruit an experienced Head of Operations. This is a high‑impact leadership role for a hands‑on, strategic operator who excels at building strong teams, optimising processes, and delivering measurable business results.
 
The Head of Operations will work closely with executive leadership to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across the organisation.
 
Role Overview:

As Head of Operations, you will lead all operational functions – manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and engineering to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with long‑term business goals.

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership – Lead end‑to‑end operations including manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and site engineering.
  • Operational Excellence – Drive Lean initiatives, continuous improvement, and KPI‑driven performance management.
  • Process Improvement – Enhance core processes (order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay) to increase throughput and reduce inventory.
  • Cost & Performance Management – Control operational expenses, track KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
  • Strategic Planning – Translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans and support long‑term growth.
  • Team Leadership – Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing operations team; foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Quality & Compliance – Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and quality standards; maintain robust quality systems.
  • Supply Chain Management – Oversee procurement, planning, inventory, and distribution; optimise lead times and cost structure.
  • Technology & Innovation – Partner with Engineering/R&D to adopt new technologies and automation.
  • Health & Safety – Champion a safety‑first culture and ensure OSHA/environmental compliance.
  • Customer Focus – Align operations with customer expectations, ensuring on‑time delivery and consistent product quality.
  • Executive Communication – Provide regular performance updates and use data‑driven insights to support decision‑

 
About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years’ progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or operations.
  • Proven success in a senior operations leadership role.
  • Experience in medical devices, aerospace, defence, or similar regulated sectors preferred.
  • Background in investment casting or comparable manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in fast‑paced, results‑driven environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
