We’re supporting a leading food manufacturer in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, who is looking to add a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to their growing team.
If you can troubleshoot mechanical issues, read blueprints, and keep production running smoothly, this role is built for you.
Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll carry out general maintenance and repair work across production equipment and site facilities, using your mechanical expertise with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Repairing and maintaining production machinery, equipment, and site facilities
- Diagnosing and fixing mechanical faults quickly to minimise downtime
- Carrying out preventative maintenance to keep operations running efficiently
- Working across welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipefitting, and fabrication
- Supporting installation work and general site upkeep
- Reporting faults, material requirements, and equipment issues
- Completing maintenance documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work meets safety and GMP standards
- Supporting and mentoring junior mechanics when required
About You:
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience within manufacturing or production
- Hands-on skills across welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on plant equipment
- Confident reading and interpreting blueprints and technical manuals
- Basic electrical knowledge, including 110–220V single phase and 3 phase systems
