We’re supporting a leading food manufacturing business in Gainesville, Georgia, who are looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their growing team.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role within a poultry processing facility, ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and the ability to keep operations running smoothly under pressure.
Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead daily maintenance activities, manage technicians, and ensure equipment reliability across the plant. You’ll play a key role in reducing downtime, improving performance, and supporting production targets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians on shift
- Prioritise and assign work orders based on production needs
- Provide hands-on support across mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Drive preventative maintenance (PM) activities and improve reliability
- Troubleshoot faults across conveyors, motors, pumps, compressors and refrigeration systems
- Monitor team performance and support skills development
- Maintain accurate records using CMMS systems
- Identify recurring issues and implement long-term fixes
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, LOTO, and safety standards
- Work closely with Production, QA, Safety and Engineering teams
- Coordinate external contractors when required
- Manage parts usage and support inventory control
About You:
- High 3+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience within food or poultry processing preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience using CMMS systems
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Technical qualifications or certifications is desirable
