Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead maintenance operations to ensure equipment readiness, production efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards. You’ll manage a skilled team, support continuous improvement, and help maintain a safe, high‑performing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Maintenance Teams – Supervise Mechanics, Machine Cleaners, and Tool Room Attendants to ensure equipment readiness and cleanliness.
- Drive Equipment Reliability – Monitor equipment performance and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Collaborate Across Departments – Work with other shifts and teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Ensure Food Safety Compliance – Maintain strict adherence to GMP, SOP, HACCP, allergen control, and SQF requirements.
- Support Production Scheduling – Align labor and equipment resources to meet production goals.
- Manage HR Responsibilities – Interview, coach, conduct performance reviews, and support leadership development.
- Promote Workplace Safety – Investigate incidents, reduce risks, and reinforce safe working practices.
- Lead Communication & Training – Run weekly team meetings and train new employees on SOPs, GMPs, safety, and equipment use.
About You:
- 5+ years supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; formal technical training preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Knowledge of:
- Electrical systems up to 480 VAC
- Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC troubleshooting
- Hydraulic & pneumatic systems
- Lockout/Tagout
- MIG/TIG welding, plumbing, refrigeration
- Familiarity with food processing and GMPs preferred.
- Strong communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work overtime or on‑call when required.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English for safety and operational communication.
