Maintenance Technician – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading global Plastics Packaging manufacturer based in Norfolk, who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Technician will have experience of Maintenance, Fault finding and problem solving.
Salary: Circa £40,000

Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety awareness ensuring a zero accident mentality.
- Follow Best Practice Engineering and maintenance standards to comply with legislation and both local site and Group Best Practice
- Maintenance performance to plan including recording, resolving and escalating issues to meet defined Quality Criteria.
- Process control and continuous improvement Projects.
- Risk assess, Document and communicate process/services modifications
- Planned maintenance and manage Operator Asset Care to plan, including machine and services safety systems
- Facilitating the training/mentoring/induction of colleagues.
- Provide effective reactive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of the production and utility equipment and systems.
- Effective fault finding and problem-solving.
- Identification of replacement parts and work to ensure the most cost effective option
- Working with other departments to ensure the business priorities are met.
- Completion of work as requested by the authorized superior in accordance with the set quality criteria
- Maintenance of a safe, clean, and tidy work area in cooperation with the other shift workers
- Correct use of tools and adequate use of the personal protection equipment provided and to adhere to all occupational health & safety instructions given by the employer
- Adherence to operational instructions and procedures, adherence to existing technical regulations and the statutory provisions and regulations
- The job holder agrees to transition his/her workstation and structured handover to the maintenance engineer from the next shift in proper condition
- Number of Health and Safety related Accidents and Incidents/audits non compliance
- Quality standards within agreed levels.

About You:
- Experience of maintenance or projects in manufacturing operations.
- Process knowledge Moulding
- Ability to train others.
- Proactive in fault finding – mechanical and electrical
- Mechanical qualification at approved and certified national competence level and Electrical qualification-18th edition would be desirable.
- Ability to assess risk and work safely.
- Ability to communicate.
- Positive attitude with a desire to develop and progress.
- A desire to meet and exceed customer expectations in terms of quality of product.
- Attention to detail.
- Continuous improvement desire.
- Proactive and ability to problem solve effectively.
