Maintenance Technician – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading global manufacturer based in Temple, Pennsylvania who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Technician will have knowledge of production practices and techniques, plus a knowledge of mechanical principles and their practical application to production equipment.
Salary: $28/hr – $38/hr

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining property and building, and repairing the various electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Based on production needs, repairing and maintaining machinery.
- Installing, removing, relocating equipment and/or machinery.
- Dismantling, reassembling, securing machinery; setting-up auxiliary pieces (i.e., platforms, racks).
- Periodically inspecting air make-up units, air conditioners, exhaust systems, etc.
- Erecting scaffolds and performing simple rigging as necessary.
- Performing simple property or building repairs as necessary.
- Contributing to the establishment of Quality Control Standards.
- Implementing safety and good housekeeping practices.
- Tasks are varied, requiring independent action and decision making.
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping
- Moderate lifting up to 50 pounds
- Moderate carrying up to 50 pounds
About You:
- Visual acuity to read engineering drawings
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to read, write, and calculate advanced computations
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to work independently and make work-related decisions
- Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus additional training such as that acquired in the first two years of college or technical school.
- Training in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training.
- Requires knowledge of production practices and techniques, plus a knowledge of mechanical principles and their practical application to production equipment.
