We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Hemingway, South Carolina who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Technician will have experience in maintaining and repairing production machinery.
Salary: $30/hr – $48/hr

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the proper operation of machinery and equipment to ensure acceptable levels of safety, quality, and production performance. You’ll report directly to the Maintenance Manager and interact with other Technicians and Shift Managers on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyor systems, and production machines following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, engineering specification
- Troubleshoots equipment malfunction by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Analyzes test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operator to diagnose equipment problems.
- Observes and tests operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeter.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling device using hoist, crane, hand and power tools
- Determines change in dimensional requirement of defective by inspection; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Operates newly repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
- Controls downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance procedures.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop equipment.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and job supplies prudently to accomplish job results.
- Aids others by answering mechanical maintenance questions and requests.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as required.

- 4+ years of experience in maintaining and repairing production machinery
- Mechanical aptitude
