Maintenance Technician – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading Injection Moulding manufacturer based in Peterbrough, who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Technician will have experience in Robotics, PLC’s and Pneumatics. Ensuring Safe working Practices.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner within the parameters of current Health and Safety legislation (HASAW Act 1974)
- To work in conjunction with maintenance and setting staff to ensure all preventative maintenance is carried out on a regular basis.
- Ensure the site is always left in a safe and secure situation (isolating power, water, air etc.) when working outside normal hours.
- Maintain good housekeeping at all times in line with the Company’s 5S programme
- Carry out repairs and maintenance to machines, ancillary equipment and robotic equipment as required.
- As the focal point for robotics understanding and applying the programming and modifications of the equipment.
- Carryout maintenance activities for injection moulding machines which is primarily a mechanical based activity and to ensure all records of machine and plant repairs are logged.
- To ensuring an appropriate level of essential robotic spares is maintained at all times.
- Be available on call out for ‘Emergency Breakdowns’
- Regularly service all ancillary equipment and robotics as set out in service schedules.
- Assist with tooling maintenance and repairs and liaise with toolmaker as necessary.
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations and the company‘s Instructions and policies are adhered to.
- Set example of company image with high standards of personal appearance and efficiency in attendance and timekeeping, and when visiting and dealing with customers and suppliers.
- To perform all other reasonable duties as and when required by the Management Team.
About You:
- Experience of PLC’s and Robots. (Desirable)
- Educated to ONC (or equivalent) in an Engineering related discipline.
- Completed an approved multi-skilled apprenticeship.
