We’re supporting a leading metal manufacturer in Cleveland, Ohio, looking for a Production Supervisor / Maintenance Technician to join their growing team.
This is a hands-on role combining production leadership with mechanical and electrical maintenance, ideal for someone who likes being on the floor rather than stuck behind a desk.
You’ll oversee daily production while keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production to meet output, quality, and safety targets
- Train, support, and manage production staff
- Schedule labour and assign tasks efficiently
- Monitor KPIs and resolve performance issues
- Work with operations, sales, and logistics to meet deadlines
- Carry out preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Reduce downtime through proactive planning
- Coordinate major repairs and external contractors
- Maintain maintenance records and spare parts inventory
- Suggest process improvements and equipment upgrades
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
- Conduct safety inspections and resolve hazards
- Train staff on safe equipment use
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions
About You:
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Hands-on maintenance background (mechanical and/or electrical)
- Confident problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communicator with a “lead from the front” approach
