Shift Pattern: Mon to Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-12pm
We’re supporting our client, a global, leading manufacturer based in Pembrokeshire, who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Quality Engineer will have previous experience of quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities for Quality Engineer:
- Measurement of components
- Prepare PPAP and ISIR where required
- Perform and /or contribute to QA audits
- Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated in line with the Company calibration schedule
- To contribute to, develop and implement Quality Strategies to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved and maintained, at optimum costs, in order to enhance both company performance and long-term business development.
- Ensure site wide compliance to ISO 9001 certification through 3rd Party Assessment.
- Manage and co-ordinate effective closure of Corrective Action Reports (CAR)
- Effectively manage the Product and Process auditing responsibility.
- Control documents and data in line with above certification/registration
- Focus the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System towards one unified standard to cover site wide activity.
- Achieve Quality Objectives as agreed.
About You:
- Methodical and thorough with an eye for detail
- Good problem-solving skills including Maths
- Able to cope under pressure
- Confident to communicate at all levels
- Excellent organisational/time management skills
- PC literate
- Keyence Vision system measurement skills needed but training on our equipment will be given.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 is essential
- Ability to work with people to bring about permanent positive change
- A relationship builder
- HNC in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent
- Experience of Quality Assurance/Control within a manufacturing environment, ideally injection moulding and/or automotive/Medical.
