We’re partnering with a leading automotive manufacturer in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated quality professional with strong experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Role Overview:
As a Quality Engineer, you will promote, develop, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring full compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards. You’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives, support production processes, and collaborate closely with suppliers, customers, and cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System: Establish, implement, and maintain QMS processes.
- Maintain document control procedures and ensure all critical documents are updated and approved.
- Ensure quality records are stored, protected, and retained according to QMS requirements.
- Conduct regular QMS performance reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead QMS training for new and existing employees.
- Select, evaluate, and re‑evaluate suppliers; maintain supplier assessment records.
- Manage internal audit programs to verify QMS compliance.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions and maintain evidence of improvements.
- Support best‑practice quality strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Work directly with suppliers to ensure material compliance.
- Support customer quality requirements, manage complaints, and implement containment and countermeasures.
- Oversee quality inspection and product release processes for incoming, in‑process, and finished goods.
- Conduct product, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to improve product quality and process flow.
- Create and issue QSIs, work instructions, and PPAP packages.
- Ensure all measurement tools are calibrated and compliant.
- Perform internal QMS audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
About You:
- AS or BS in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ progressive experience in a leadership, quality, or engineering role within manufacturing (automotive preferred).
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO/IATF certification requirements.
- Experience working with customers and suppliers.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Highly motivated, results‑driven, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
