Quality Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company quality awareness.
- Meeting Health and Safety standards supporting others to do the same.
- Assist other areas of the business when required to carry out the same or similar tasks.
- Any other reasonable duties required
- Utilising sound problem solving tools, such as 8D, 5WHYs, Ishikawa to support with the review and closure of both customer and internal concerns.
- Applicants must be able to communicate at all levels within the organisation as well as with both customers and suppliers.
- Ability to develop and maintain quality documentation and controls.
- To be a capable user of core quality tools & techniques and their application, typically: 8D problem solving SPC, Ishikawa, Histograms, Pareto Charts, Scatter Diagrams etc
- Have the ability to compile customer specific documentation.
- Carry out and support the audit program to include Systems, Process and Product audits.
- Understanding of IATF 16949 and OEM customers such as JLR, Ford etc.
- Ability to support and coach staff and key members of the team.
About You:
- Self-motivated self-starter with a background in systems engineering preferably with Lead Auditor experience
- The person must be used to dealing with people from all levels and have a keen eye for detail
- Some travel may be required to customer locations and therefore a clean driving licence is essential
